Resonance effects in the nonadiabatic nonlinear quantum dimer

چکیده
The quantum nonlinear dimer consisting of an electron shuttling between two sites and in weak interaction with vibrations, is studied numerically under the application of a DC electric field. A fieldinduced resonance phenomenon between the vibrations and the electronic oscillations is found to influence the electronic transport greatly. For initial delocalization of the electron, resonance has the effect of a dramatic increase in the transport. Nonlinear frequency mixing is identified as the main mechanism that influences transport. A characterization of the frequency spectrum is also presented.

Coherent and incoherent quantum stochastic resonance.
We study quantum stochastic resonance (QSR) in the periodically driven biased spin-boson system. The amplitude and the phase of the nonlinear response function vs temperature are studied in the incoherent and coherent tunneling regimes, encompassing adiabatic and nonadiabatic driving, weak and strong Ohmic coupling a. For a 1y2 we present exact QSR results. As a general feature, a principal m...

We study the robustness of the selftrapping phenomenon exhibited by the Discrete Non-linear Schrödinger (DNLS) equation against the effects of nonadiabaticity and quantum fluctuations in a two–site system (dimer). To test for nonadiabatic effects (in a semiclassi-cal context), we consider the dynamics of an electron (or excitation) in a dimer system and coupled to the vibrational degrees of fre...
متن کاملNonadiabatic Quantum Brownian Rectifiers
We study both dissipative and nondissipative quantum transport in discrete Brownian rectifiers being driven by nonthermal noise that is unbiased on average. In the absence of dissipation the current is always zero and the ballistic diffusion changes into normal diffusion. The dissipative quantum dynamics exhibits current (with distinctive reversals) as a result of the cooperative interplay betw...
متن کاملTheoretical investigation of the implicit effects water molecules and resonance interactions on structural stability and NMR tensors of hallucinogenic harmine by density functional calculations
Abstractl Density functional theory (DFT) was used to investigate the effects of intra-moecular interactions and implicit water molecules on the relative stability and the NMR shielding tensors of hallucinogenic harmine in the monomeric and dimeric states. Results represented that the relative stability and the NMR shielding tensors are dependent on the resonance interactions and chemical envir...
